The Breath Between Worlds
Part 2
From Anxious under the Skin
Recently, during meditation, a transmission came through from the Great Divine Ancient Mother. Her words felt less like something new to learn and more like something ancient being remembered.
She spoke of our very first breath.
“As you move from your mother’s body, taking your first breath upon the Earth, the Divine Breath awakens within you. That first inhale is rich with the harmonic remembering of your sovereignty. It carries the resonance of your soul’s unique signature. Before the world tells you who you are, the breath already knows.”
There is a moment in almost every spiritual tradition where we are invited back to the breath.
Simple.
Ordinary.
Always available.
Yet so often overlooked.
Why?
Because the breath is far more than a biological function.
It is a bridge.
A bridge between the body and the soul.
A bridge between the nervous system and the heart.
A bridge between our human experience and our Divine nature.
When life feels uncertain, the mind rushes ahead.
When change arrives unexpectedly, the body contracts.
When fear takes hold, the breath becomes shallow.
The breath reflects our relationship with life.
Yet it also holds the power to transform it.
One conscious breath can interrupt an old pattern.
One conscious breath can soften fear.
One conscious breath can create enough space for a new possibility to emerge.
The Ancient Mother continued,
“Remember your first breath. Remember the moment your body became alive with the frequency of your soul. You inhaled life, and then you cried out to the world… I am here.”
What if that first cry was never simply the beginning of life?
What if it was the first declaration of your soul’s presence?
I am here.
I am awake.
I am ready.
Over the years we forget.
We collect fear.
We inherit stories.
We carry expectations that slowly pull us away from the simplicity of that first knowing.
Yet the breath never forgets.
It has been patiently waiting beneath every anxious thought, every contraction, every moment of uncertainty.
The breath remembers even when we do not.
This is why nearly every wisdom tradition returns to the breath.
Because breath is presence.
Breath is awareness.
Breath is life moving through us.
For me, the breath has become a sacred doorway.
Whenever I feel overwhelmed, uncertain, or disconnected, I return to it.
Not because it fixes everything.
But because it reconnects me to what has always been true.
The breath reminds me that I am here.
That I am held.
That beneath every wave of uncertainty is a deeper current carrying me.
I do not need to force the next step.
I simply need to meet this moment fully.
The Ancient Mother whispered one final remembrance.
“The breath is the bridge… the bridge… the bridge. It regulates your nervous system when fear arises. It reminds you that you are not becoming someone new. You are remembering who you have always been. You were never separate from Love.”
Perhaps this is why the breath has accompanied every sacred ceremony, every prayer, every meditation, every birth, every awakening, and every transformation.
It has quietly remained with us…
waiting for us to remember.
The bridge was never somewhere outside of us.
It has always lived within us.
One conscious breath away.
So today, take one slow breath.
Not to become more spiritual.
Not to become someone else.
Simply to remember the first breath that welcomed you into this world.
The breath that carried your soul into your body.
The breath that whispered before words,
I am here.
I am awake.
I am ready.
And beneath it all…
You are.
You are.
You are here now.
Much Love
